Armed Robbery - Updated!






Mount Pleasant, S.C. – Dustin J. Peurifoy, of Simpsonville, South Carolina, was arrested by the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office on November 5, 2018 for multiple incidents within their jurisdiction. Investigators with the Mount Pleasant Police Department were contacted and worked with the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office to identify Dustin Peurifoy as the person responsible for the armed robbery at Harris Teeter on November 4, 2018. Investigators have active warrants for Armed Robbery and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime for Peurifoy.
















Mount Pleasant, S.C. - On November 4, 2018, at approximately 1:07 p.m., officers from the Mount Pleasant Police Department responded to an armed robbery at Harris Teeter located at 1981 Riviera Drive. The suspect approached the pharmacy where he showed the clerk he had a weapon in his waistband. He then left the scene with an undisclosed amount of medicine. 

The suspect is described as a white male who is approximately between 20 to 30 years old. He is approximately 5’10” in height and weighs approximately 160 to 170lbs.

Armed Robbery Arrest

 
 
Mount Pleasant, SC – On November 26, 2017 officers from the Mount Pleasant Police Department arrested Christian James Lose and charged him with three counts of Armed Robbery stemming from the armed robberies at CVS on South Shelmore, Rite Aid on Highway 17, and the BP Station on Coleman Blvd. 
 
Lose was taken into custody at 10:50 pm after the vehicle he was operating was observed coming into Mount Pleasant from the Ravenel Bridge.  Mr. Lose was taken into custody without incident.
 
The Mount Pleasant Police Department would like to thank everyone who provided information about these robberies and to the media for helping get this information out to the community which aided in the identification and arrest of Lose.

Armed Robbery




The Mount Pleasant Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect in an armed robbery that occurred on November 26, 2017 at 1799 Highway 17 North (Rite Aide).

The suspect entered the store at approximately 10:37 a.m. wearing jeans, a black jacket, a black hat, and dark colored shoes. He is described as a white male with blue or grey eyes and brown side burns. The suspect was wearing a mask that covered the bottom half of his face during the robbery. 

This suspect may also have been involved in the armed robberies at CVS on South Shelmore on November 24, 2017 and at the BP Station on Coleman Blvd. on November 26, 2017.

Armed Robbery



Mount PleasantSC – On July 11, 2017, at approximately 9:10 a.m., officers from the Mount Pleasant Police Department responded to 1021 Anna Knapp Boulevard (TD Bank) in reference to an armed robbery. Two black individuals entered the bank with handguns and demanded money from the tellers. One suspect was described as wearing a red hooded sweat shirt, sunglasses, and a grey or black bandana with a designed pattern. The second suspect was described as wearing a black hooded sweat shirt, black pants, sunglasses, and a black bandana. Both suspects are approximately 25 to 30 years old and stood approximately 5’10” to 6’ tall.

Mount Pleasant, SC – On June 9, 2017, Cortlyn Brown was charged with Armed Robbery in connection with the incident that occurred at the United Community Bank in Park West on May 12, 2017.

 
 





Mount Pleasant, SC – On May 18th, 2017, Kalee D. Lynn-Bishop and Kamal D’Andrea Backman were arrested and charged with Armed Robbery stemming from the incident at United Community Bank in Park West on May 12th, 2017.
“Our detectives worked around the clock following every lead to identify these dangerous individuals and take them into custody,” said Chief Carl Ritchie.
The investigation into this case is ongoing.

Attempted Armed Robbery





 
 
 
Mount Pleasant, SC – On December 31, 2016, at approximately 6:05 p.m., officers from the Mount Pleasant Police Department responded to 774 South Shelmore Blvd. (Pleasant Liquors) regarding an attempted armed robbery. The suspect came into the store and demanded money from the clerk. When the clerk advised that she did not have a key, the suspect fired his weapon but the clerk was not harmed. The suspect is described as a black male who is approximately 5’4” tall. He was wearing a baseball cap and a dark colored hoodie sweatshirt.

Mount Pleasant, SC – On December 19, 2016, at approximately 2:42 am, officers from the Mount Pleasant Police Department responded to 2846 Highway 17 North (Circle K) in reference to an armed robbery. The suspect is described as a black male who was wearing all black clothing, a hooded sweatshirt, wearing a mask over his face, and carrying a firearm. He left the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

Armed Robbery






On September 22, 2016 at approximately 6:10 a.m., the Mount Pleasant Police Department responded to Lafayette Village in reference to a reported armed robbery of a person. The suspect was able to make off with the victim’s wallet. The suspect is described as an unknown race male wearing a black shirt, a black zip up hoodie, and blue jeans.

The Mount Pleasant Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying the man in the above video. Even though his face is covered, his voice can be heard directing the cashier. This occurred on May 29, 2016 at approximately 3:00 a.m. at 1195 Mathis Ferry Road (Circle K).
 
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 20 to 30 years old, approximately 5'07" - 6'00" tall and weighing 150-180lbs.

Mount Pleasant Police Release Photos of Armed Robbery Suspect

 
 
 
The Mount Pleasant Police Department is working to identify the suspect shown in the above photographs. On May 12, 2016, at approximately 12:58 am, the suspect committed an armed robbery at the Circle K located at 1195 Mathis Ferry Road. The suspect demanded cash and cigarettes and threatened to shoot the clerk.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 20 to 30 years old, approximately 5’10” – 6’00” tall, and weighing approximately 150-180lbs.

Mount Pleasant Police Release Photos of Bank Robbery








On April 22, 2016, at approximately 12:00 p.m., the above pictured suspect walked into CresCom Bank in the 1400 block of Highway 17 North. The suspect demanded money and kept his hand in his pocket alluding to the fact that he had a weapon. The suspect left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as being approximately 30-35 years old, approximately 5'10"- 6'00" in height, weighing approximately 150-170lbs, red hair, and medium style beard. He was wearing a black/red long sleeve shirt with red lettering, dark shoes, black aviator style sunglasses, and was carrying a black portfolio. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.

Attempted Armed Robbery


On 2/4/2016 at approximately 11:55pm two suspects entered the Kangaroo Station on Bessemer Rd. with the apparent intent to rob the clerk. The clerk was able to evade the subjects who quickly left the store. It is not known whether the two left on foot or in a vehicle.

Strong Armed Robbery




 

Mount Pleasant, SC – On October 9, 2015 at 9:21pm a white female entered the CVS Drug Store at 1676 Highway 17 North and demanded medication in a note passed to an employee. She is described as being in her twenties, having a pointy nose and wearing a black hoodie.

Armed Robbery





On August 19, 2015 at approximately 2:20am the subject pictured robbed the Circle K at 685 Johnnie Dodds Blvd. The suspect is believed be in his twenties and to have brandished a covered firearm. He fled the scene with cash from the registers.

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. On March 19, 2015 at 1:30pm Joanna M. Mangano
reported that she was robbed at gunpoint by two individuals on Coleman Blvd.
at MaGrath Darby. Ms. Mangano gave a statement implicating the two
suspects and picked them out of a photo lineup. Ms. Mangano knows both
people she falsely accused of robbing her. She has been charged with Filing
a False Police Report and has been lodged at the Charleston County Detention
Center.

Devon Gillian were arrested and charged with armed robbery of the Subway
restaurant on Coleman Blvd. Both suspects received a $200,000 bond.

Armed Robbery at Waffle House



On Sunday October 5th, 2014 at around 2:30pm, the subject pictured above robbed the Waffle House on Longpoint Rd. of an undisclosed amount of money. He was observed by witnesses hanging around the business just before the robbery occurred and then left on foot towards I-526. The suspect was described as being around 5'06" tall and weighing approximately 160lbs.
