Use these discussion starters to get an Internet safety conversation going with your children. The more often you talk to them about online safety, the easier it will get, so don’t get discouraged if they don’t respond immediately!
 
 
  • What do you know about online predators?
  • Have you ever met anyone online who asked you to meet face-to-face?
  • What would/did you do if someone asked to meet you in person?
  • Has anyone ever tried talking to you online about inappropriate or sexual things? What did you do?
  • How might someone online try to gain your trust?
  • Why might someone online want to gain your trust? What are the possible risks of trusting them?
  • Why is it important that you come to me if someone makes you feel uncomfortable online?

  Contact Sergeant Ashley Croy Telephone 843.884.4176 Cell 843.872.8532 Email acroy@tompsc.com Website www.tompsc.com FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE August 21, 2023   Armed Robbery Arrest Mount Pleasant, SC – On August 18, 2023 officers from the Mount Pleasant Police Department arrested Andre Myers along with one juvenile and charged both with one count of Armed Robbery and one count of Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime stemming from the armed robberies at Circle K on Hwy 41 and Five Guys on Hwy 17. Both Myers and the juvenile were taken into custody without incident. Additional charges are pending with an updated press release to follow
