Longpoint Road Closure

At 9:00 a.m. today, Public Services will begin clearing the ditches along Longpoint Rd. This is a proactive action to help prevent flooding on Longpoint Rd. before heavy rains arrive this afternoon. The hope is this will only take about 2 hours. Due to this, traffic will be diverted through the Snowden community. The diversion will be at Whipple Rd. and at Snowden Rd. If possible, please use Hwy 17 and/or I-526 as alternate routes. If you do use Longpoint Rd., please use caution and reduce speeds as you drive through the Snowden community!
