Public Safety Checkpoints Announced

The Mount Pleasant Police Department will be out in force again this year as part of the South Carolina Department of Public Safety’s annual “Sober or Slammer” campaign on drunk driving. Please use a ride-hailing service such as Uber or Lyft, call a taxi, or use a designated driver. We want everyone to arrive alive! Safety checkpoints will be at the following locations: December 28, 2018 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. - SC 517 between Rifle Range Rd. and Hungryneck Blvd. 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. - Coleman Blvd near Pelzer Dr. December 31, 2018 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. - Longpoint Rd. near Egypt Rd.
