Collision on the Isle of Palms Connector

MOUNT
PLEASANT, S.C. - On January 6, 2014 at approximately 9:45 a.m.
an officer
checked out with a collision that had just occurred on the Isle of
Palms
Connector at Rifle Range Road. A moped was heading south on Rifle
Range and a
passenger car was heading north. Both vehicles turned onto the
Isle of Palms
Connector heading towards the Isle of Palms. At some point the
two vehicles
collided and the driver of the moped was taken to the Medical
University of
South Carolina in serious condition. The Traffic Bureau is
continuing to
investigate the cause of the collision and no charges have been
filed at this
time.
