Officers Rescue Injured Deer

 
 
 
 

Mount Pleasant, SC – On July 26, 2015 Pfc. Kittle from the Mount Pleasant Police Department responded to Rifle Range Rd. in reference to an injured deer. Officers found the deer along the roadway with what appeared to be a broken left rear leg. Cpl. Zeitner and Ofc. Morgan were riding in a two man unit and stopped to assist Pfc. Kittle. The deer was cut free of the briars, wrapped up in a blanket and transported to Veterinary Specialty Care on Johnnie Dodds Blvd. Officers checked back with Veterinary Specialty Care and learned that the deer had been release from treatment and was now recovering at a wildlife rehabilitation facility.
