J.P. Strom Award

Mount Pleasant, SC – Mount Pleasant Police Officer wins J.P. Strom Award for highest overall academic average.

Officer Matos received the J.P. Strom Award during her academy class graduation on March 25, 2016. To obtain this prestigious award, Officer Matos had to pass all of her proficiencies while maintaining at least a 96% on all of her written unit tests.

Town of Mount Pleasant Wins Communications Award

This is a video put out by the Municipal Association of South Carolina regarding our 2015 award for the Reading Patrol Program.

Started in 1987, the program provides local government officials and employees the opportunity to receive deserved recognition for superior and innovative efforts in local government. The program also provides a forum for sharing the best public service ideas in South Carolina.

2015 MASC Achievement Award

Yesterday the Town of Mount Pleasant presented their Reading Patrol Program to the Municipal Association of South Carolina for an Achievement Award. The MASC awards municipalities for innovative and unique programs in different areas. Today we were notified that the Town of Mount Pleasant won the 2015 MASC Achievement Award in the Communications Category!

We want to thank everyone who has contributed to the success of this great program! We look forward to bringing forth more outreach programs that allow us to connect with our community!
