On April 20, 2016, at approximately 11:30 a.m., William N. Alston, Jr. was arrested in connection with the April 6th shooting in Remely’s Point near Mathis Ferry Road. Alston was arrested during a traffic stop on Remount Road near Rivers Avenue by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force with the assistance of the Mount Pleasant Police Department and the Charleston City Police Department. Alston has been charged with Attempted Murder and is lodged at the Al Cannon, Jr. Detention Center.
